This event is an Accelerator Session of the World Circular Economy Forum 2024. It is a co-organized by UNECE, WRI (Circular Food Systems for Rwanda), and hosted by the UNEP office in Brussels.
This accelerator session will explore key enabling policy frameworks and successful business cases for implementing and scaling up circular agri-food systems. The session will compare and contrast two examples from the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Serbia, to identify both transferable lessons and context-specific insights. The session will showcase innovations and best practices from both countries, discuss similarities and lessons learned, and chart the way forward for replication and scaling up of a circular economy transition in the agri-food sector. You will hear from policymakers, leading experts, and small-medium sized enterprises as they share strategies for success.
