At the request of the Norwegian National Trade Facilitation Committee, the Trade Facilitation Section of the Economic Cooperation and Trade Division delivered a training session on trade facilitation and e-business standards.
The event also covered the work of United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT) as well as an overview of technical assistance and capacity building activities. The Transport Facilitation and Economics Section of the Sustainable Transport Division was invited to present an overview of UNECE Transport Conventions.
The briefing was part of the Norwegian study tour to Geneva aimed to learn about trade and transport facilitation activities of relevant organizations and explore opportunities for potential collaboration in these areas.
