The main objective of the workshop is to strengthen the capacity of countries in EECCA region to produce and disseminate high quality and comparable statistics on internationasl migration. Participants will also comment on the new UNECE Clearinghouse on migration statistics, that will allow countries improving their emigration data by using immigration data from other countries. The workshop will also offer an opportunity to exchange information on ongoing programmes at the national and regional level.
