The UNECE Renewable Energy Status Report 2022. was prepared jointly by the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century (REN21) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

The UNECE Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Status Report 2022 provides a comprehensive overview of the current status of renewable energy and energy efficiency trends in the following 17 selected countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The report was launched on 14 September 2022.

 

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century (REN21)  issued the REN21 UNECE Renewable Energy Status Report 2017
The UNECE Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Status Report 2017 provides a comprehensive overview of the current status of renewable energy and energy efficiency trends in the following 17 selected countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The report was launched on 12 June 2017 at the Energy Ministerial and 8th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development in Astana, Kazakhstan, 11-14 June 2017
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the Renewable energy Policy Network for the 21st century (REN21) joined forces to produce the UNECE Renewable Energy Status Report which covers 17 selected UNECE member countries located in the South East Europe, the  Caucasus, the Russian Federation and Central Asia. It has been prepared in collaboration with the International Energy Agency (IEA). The report provides a comprehensive overview of the status of renewable energy and energy efficiency markets, industry, policy and regulatory frameworks, and investment activities.
This project is part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) - the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag. UNECE and REN21 are very grateful for this crucial support.
