Kazakhstan will present the results of cooperation with UNICEF experts on calculating child multidimensional poverty. In response to growing global recognition of the multidimensional nature of child poverty and deprivation, a variety of methodologies have been developed to construct indices that succinctly characterize child deprivation using single numerical indicators. We will present the results of calculations using three methods: the Bristol Approach, the Alkire-Foster Method and the EU Deprivation Indices. We will also discuss the stages of implementation of the Multidimensional Child Poverty Index from the beginning of consideration to obtaining the results, conclusions.
