On the margins of the Stockholm road safety conference, the Special Envoy participated at various meetings, including those organized by the World Bank, FIA Foundation, WHO and UNICEF.
With growing relevance and importance of youth engagement in the cause, the Special Envoy prioritized supporting the meeting of the 2nd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety, organized by the NGO Youth for Road Safety (YOURS).
In his opening speech, the Special Envoy commended youth for their tireless efforts and strong commitment. Considering that road traffic fatalities are the leading cause for children and youth aged 5-29 years old, the Special Envoy recognized the important role of the Youth Assembly in decision making processes.
