This seminar is organized by the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine (Ministry of Infrastructure) and the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, in cooperation with UNECE.

The Ministry of Infrastructure is currently working on updating the housing legislation of Ukraine, with the primary goal of facilitating the conditions for resolving the housing issues of citizens.

To develop a modern and practical regulatory framework for housing legislation, the Ministry of Infrastructure is studying the practices of European countries on housing provision and the establishment and effective management of housing funds.

During the seminar, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the work areas of the Ministry of Infrastructure and its request for the development of new housing legislation. Additionally, the Finnish Ministry wil be giving a presentation on developing and implementing housing policy to solve the housing challenges citizens face.

The seminar will also include discussions on the most effective mechanisms for creating housing funds and the prospects for Ukraine, as well as the formulation of recommendations for Ukraine in developing new housing legislation.
