OECD organized a series of online seminars on the management of hazardous substance in port areas. The seminars covered how ports are run, different types of regulatory regimes and risk management elements. They also reviewed chemical accidents management, lessons learned from past accidents at port areas and challenges for emergency preparedness and response. UNECE presented information on instruments and mechanisms that support countries in safely managing hazardous substances and preventing, preparing for and responding to industrial accidents at ports and beyond.
