The Ministry of Interior of Hungary hosted the “Accidental water pollution mitigation exercise on the Danube River with possible transboundary effects”. The main objective was to highlight the importance of water pollution prevention for industrial accidents that have the potential to impact to transboundary waters. Under the auspices of the UNECE Joint Expert Group on Water and Industrial Accidents, the technical exercise took place at the MOL Plc. industrial plant (oil refinery) to show possible mitigation measures to prevent water pollution.
