The eTIR specifications were first called the eTIR reference model and were developed following the UN/CEFACT Modelling Methodology (UMM).
On 25 May 2021, Annex 11 (English, French, Russian) of the TIR Convention came into force. Annex 11 defines the eTIR specifications in Article 2 as well as its adoption and amendment procedures in Article 5.
The table below presents the various versions and the validation dates for the various parts and versions of the eTIR specifications and the reference model.
