On 23 March 2023, the Special Envoy met with H.E. Mr. Latsamy Keomany, Permanent Representative of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to the United Nations Office at Geneva. The Special Envoy shared about the ongoing preparation for his mission to the country in April 2023 and asked for support in engaging with the relevant stakeholders. The Special Envoy also informed the Ambassador about the UNRSF and invited him to join the Geneva Friends of the Special Envoy network.
