On 22 February, the Special Envoy met with the UNCT and shared updates since their last meeting in 2017, notably the establishment of the UNRSTF. The Special Envoy informed the UNCT about upcoming launch of the UN Internal Road Safety Strategy, highlighting the role of country offices in its implementation. In conclusion, the Special Envoy spoke about upcoming Global Road Safety Week, themed “Leadership for road safety” and encouraged UNCT’s active engagement.
