On 15 December 2022, the Special Envoy met with Ms. Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris. During the discussion, the Special Envoy encouraged engagement with the UNRSF; appreciated recent efforts in Paris aimed at improving road safety and infrastructure; and asked for support of the French Government and Paris Municipality to engage with the UN – JCDecaux road safety global campaign to be launched in 2023 and implemented in 80 countries in two years.
