On 24 March 2023, the Special Envoy met with H.E. Mr. Evan. P. Garcia, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations Office at Geneva. Throughout the discussion, the Special Envoy introduced road fatalities and injuries as a development challenge globally and in the Philippines; welcomed support and collaboration for the upcoming visit to the Philippines from 11 to 14 April 2023; and invited the Ambassador to join the Friends of the Special Envoy network.
