Thailand: A middle-income country with a population of 69.95 million. According to the WHO, Thailand has the highest rate of fatalities in the Southeast Asia Region. Thailand has acceded to 1 out of 7 UN road safety legal instruments.
During the mission, the Special Envoy met with the following officials towards advocating for safer roads in the capital, country and beyond:
