On 28 May, the Special Envoy met with Ms. Isis Jaraud-Darnault, Advisor for Global Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, France to explore collaboration between Organisation International de la Francophonie, Gendarmerie, and Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
The Special Envoy proposed an initiative to help boost impact of road safety projects from the current 28 beneficiary countries of the UNRSF to more member countries of La Francophonie, and highlighted that the French Gendarmerie is interested in potential twinning programs with La Francophonie countries to help train police force in enforcement and incident reporting.
