Working Group on Implementation

The Working Group on Implementation (WGI) is a subsidiary body which was created at the first meeting of the Conference of the Parties in 2000. Its terms of reference were revised at the ninth meeting (see pages 9-10)
The main responsibilities of the Working Group on Implementation are set out in the terms of reference.
The Working Group on Implementation has a maximum of ten members nominated from amongst representatives of the Parties to the Convention.
The Conference of the Parties, at its eleventh meeting on 7-9 December 2020, elected the following persons to serve as members of the Working Group on Implementation until its twelfth meeting:

Ms. Nicolette Bouman (Netherlands)
Mr. Vitalii Mutaf (Republic of Moldova)
Ms. Anna Tsarina (Russian Federation), Vice-Chair
Ms. Sanja Stamenkovic (Serbia)
Ms. Maria Šebestová (Slovakia)
Ms. Helena Fridh (Sweden), Chair
Mr. Raphaël Gonzalez (Switzerland), Vice-Chair

The Working Group subsequently elected Ms. Fridh as its Chair.
