Sustainable Energy Week

This year’s UNECE Sustainable Energy Week features several hybrid events including the

 

The Week will focus on Energy Security, Resilience and Net Zero: Tangible Actions to Deliver a Sustainable Energy Future. It will include specific discussions, recommendations and presentations of country actions that build resiliency, ensuring energy security and affordability in the Economic Commission for Europe region while meeting the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement, including net zero.

Join us in person at the Palais des Nations in Geneva or virtually. Simultaneous interpretation in English, French and Russian will be provided. Registration is mandatory for all participants for all three events at the links listed below.

18th Session of the Group of Experts on Cleaner Electricity Systems (GECES-18)

19-20 September 2022,10.00-12.00 & 15.00-17.00: 

The Annual Meeting will feature a series of sessions on:

• Technology interplay under the carbon neutrality concept
• Deep electrification of the energy system
• Financing clean energy technologies
• Digitalizing electricity system

31st Session of the Committee on Sustainable Energy (CSE-31)    

21-23 September 2022,10.00-12.00 & 15.00-17.00   

The Annual Meeting will feature panels and discussions on:  

  • Building resilient energy systems and achieving greater energy security, affordability, and net-zero in the UNECE region 
  • Achieving high performance in buildings 
  • Modernizing resource management  
  • Addressing methane management  
  • Enabling a hydrogen economy 
  • Understanding subsidies and carbon pricing
