Ageing Policies


This page provides an overview of resources on policies, strategies, legislation, measures and activities concerning ageing and older persons by countries in the UNECE region. UNECE comprises 56 member States across Europe, North America and Central Asia.


The resource documents take as their benchmark:


Every five years, progress in advancing ageing policies and policies for older persons is reviewed, based on information provided by countries in national reports (2022, 2017, 2012, 2007). The regional synthesis  of this information is available in the following reports:
