Accession of India to the TIR Convention, 1975

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, has issued the following depositary notification: 


C.N.317.2017.TREATIES-XIA.16 (also in French) of 15 June 2017, informing that on 15 June 2017 the Government of the Republic of India has deposited its instruments of accession to the TIR Convention, 1975. In accordance with its Article 53, paragraph 2, the Convention will enter into force for India on 15 December 2017. With the accession of India, the TIR Convention will have seventy-one Contracting Parties.
