Road Safety Workshop for Latin America, 13&14 March 2017, Buenos Aires

Following the success of the regional road safety workshop for Anglophone Africa in December 2016 in Nairobi, the Special Envoy's Secretariat has teamed up with the government of Argentina as well as regional partners to present another road safety workshop in mid-March 2017 to rave reviews.
The Road Safety Workshop for the Latin America was held in Buenos Aires on 13 and 14 March 2017, with the active participation of over 150 government officials and experts from 17 countries in the region. The interactive format of the workshop covered a range of road safety subject, such as Safer Vehicles, Safer Roads, Urban Mobility and Road Safety Governance.   
The workshop, organized by the Ministry of Transport of Argentina and the National Road Safety Agency of Argentina and co- organised by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and Caribbean, and Inter-American Development Bank, focus on the issues of road safety governance, safer roads and urban mobility, and safer vehicles.
