On 7 October 2014, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, issued the following depositary notification: CN.661.2014.TREATIES-XI.A.16, to communicate the following information. By 1 October 2014 none of the Contracting Parties to the TIR Convention had communicated to the Secretary-General an objection to the proposals to amend Annexes 1 and 6, which were adopted by the Administrative Committee for the 1975 TIR Convention at its fifty-seventh session, held in Geneva on 6 February 2014, as well as to Annex 9, Part I, paragraph 3 (vi) adopted at its fifty-eighth session held in Geneva on 12 June 2014. Consequently, in accordance with the provisions of article 60 (1) and (2) of the Convention, the amendments will enter into force on 1 January 2015 for all Contracting Parties.
