UNECE-FAO Impulse Lab: “Trees – Nature’s technology for climate-proof building” (online)

05 October 2022 12:45 - 14:00

The joint Section, in cooperation with FAO Rome organized the UNECE-FAO Impulse Lab: “Trees – Nature’s technology for climate-proof building”.

The UNECE/FAO impulse lab invited participants to reflect on a record-low carbon footprint building material: Wood!

In the near future, cities striving for carbon neutrality will have to significantly increase the share of wood in their portfolio of building materials.

The Impulse lab gave inspirational examples and experiences of how to best boost the application of this abundant and highly sustainable material to meet the various ambitious climate targets of cities and countries around the world.

The event was a side event during the 83rd session of the UNECE Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management, held 03 - 07 October 2022 in San Marino.
