             Dear Mr. Prins,
             
             Your letter dated 1st December, 2000 refers.
             
             a)   May I draw again your attention that the new Minister for 
             Agriculture,
                Fisheries & Acquaculture (for the past two years) is
               Mr. Ninu Zammit. Please correct your records.
             
             b)   The replies drawn up by the undersigned  for my country, 
             Malta are as
                follows.

                 3A         As Malta does not produce timber, we cannot 
             comment on that
                  sector but other woodland related topics                    
             (eg. Forest

                  the Protection of                  Forests in Europe) 
             indicate a balance
                  of effort.

                 3D         Overall it is fair - but some spheres eg Silva 
             Mediterranea need
