The Special Envoy travelled to Manama, Bahrain on 28-29 November 2020 and held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Deputy King, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On the occasion, the Special Envoy shared about the road safety situation in the country as well as showed appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s contribution to the UNRSF, further realizing the country's strong commitment to improving road safety in low- and middle-income countries.
On 28 November 2020, the Special Envoy met with Mr. Abdulla Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain Motor Federation, who helped to advocate for the government’s above contribution to the UNRSF. The main purpose of the meeting was to reiterate appreciation for the contribution which enabled the country to officially join the ranks of the UNRSF donors.
