On 14 June 2021, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, has issued the following depositary notifications:
C.N.170.2021.TREATIES-XI.A.15 (English, French), informing that, on 14 June 2021, Turkmenistan has deposited its instruments of accession to the Customs Convention on Containers, 1982. In accordance with its Article 19, paragraph 2, the Convention will enter into force for Turkmenistan on 14 December 2021. With the accession of Turkmenistan, the Container Convention will have forty-one contracting parties;
C.N.171.2021.TREATIES-XI.A.18 (English, French), informing that, on 14 June 2021, Turkmenistan has deposited its instruments of accession to the Convention on Customs Treatment of Pool Containers Used in International Transport, 1994. In accordance with its Article 16, paragraph 2, The Convention will enter into force for Turkmenistan on 14 December 2021. With the accession of Turkmenistan, the Pool Container Convention will have fifteen contracting parties.
